Middle-Life Crisis

SO... 3 years ago today I graduated high school. 

I was DEVASTATED to graduate! It wasn't because Tesoro was some utopia or anything but because I had great teachers and I was super nervous to get on with my life. High school was comfortable. I was scared to move away from friends, make new friends and possibly drift away from friends. I was afraid to leave my family and sunny southern California. I was terrified of starting college and thinking about careers and big kid things like marriage. OKAY let me just say College is about 3,000 x's better then high school! But today I am being nostalgic and remembering how I Kari and I rigged the system and sat by each other instead of by our advisement classes. I remember how hungry I was because I was too nervous to eat the whole day. I remember my hunger turning to angry as I heard Dan Burch speak forever and got sunburnt while sitting in a stupid cap and gown in 95 degree weather. Oh Tesoro High School... I'm glad I no longer attend you but thanks for all the good times. 

I'll never forget the 45 minutes it took me to get out of your parking lot, I'll never forget my fav AP classes,  the Harnetts, Lacrosse with Kati and Gretchen, playing and singing Margarita ville for my guitar final, going 105 on the toll road with Danielle and Do to bring Cold stone to our AP US review, the raunchy dances, our terrible sports teams, sneaking into tutorials with my best friends, eating lunch at temple square, getting nominated for Winter Formal Court, Hannah Montana on bus rides to Lacrosse games, sneaking kids in tbe back of my car so they wouldn't have to go to 6th period, Fire days, Torch of Excellence, not having a 2nd or 6th period senior year, and all the times I had with my best friends.

OH high school... that seems like a lifetime ago!

  I have to blame the fictional television character, Blaire Waldorf, for my obsession with headbands, pearls, and flashy watches. My mission call was VERY specific with accessory guidelines. I can only have a watch with a solid band, no dangly earnings, and only conservative jewelry. Well it will a long 18 months without my jelwery box full of cheap but preppy forever 21 jewlery! Paige and Haley I will burn off your flesh if you touch them!

BYU

It will be hard to leave my Mecca of Provo for at least 18 months. I LOVE this place! I love the feeling I get when I walk up from south of campus, go to my classes in the MARB, then walk into the Kennedy to get my New York Times and walk to the JFSB, then to the Wilk for a Fresca and a Cliff Bar. I love walking into  Harold and not coming out till dusk. This is MY place and I am SO grateful that I go to BYU and will be an Alumni come 2013.

A few days ago I was at Cafe Rio and I realized, my days of hearing "free meal" and consuming the most heavenly meal on the planet, pork salad, black beans, no cilantro, are numbered! Oh how I will miss the sweet pork, my always full stamp card, and wonderful house dressing.

  This woman SPEAKS TO ME!!!! AWWW I love Tay-Tay!!!! She's been the soundtrack to my life for the last year! I've listened to her CD about a million times. I will miss her sweet, life-changing ballads of splendidness! I know when I get home she will be the first CD I will buy! Stay sensational Tay-Tay and I'm sorry but I hope you don't find lasting love over the next 18 months because your songs are TOO good when you are heartbroken... selfish... I know!

I Have A Dream...

So in three weeks I am going through the Temple!!! I am VERY excited! I have a dream/goal before I go into the MTC... I want go to 14 Temples

I will start with the

Newport Beach, California Temple

Then the Provo, Utah Temple

Then the Mount Timpanogos Temple, The Draper Temple, and The Qqurrih Mountain temple

 Then I'll go to the Jordan River Temple, The Salt Lake City Temple, and the Bountiful Temple

Then I'll head up north to the Logan Temple

Once I've gone to those I'll head South and go to the Manti Temple and the St. George Temple

 Then when I go back home to California in August I will go to the San Diego Temple, The Los Angeles Temple and the Redlands Temple

NORMAL CLOTHES... A.K.A. ALL THINGS J.CREW

  This sounds SO vain, but honestly I am REALLY going to miss my preppy comfort-zone known as J.Crew! We've been the best of friends, since I found my inner-prepster as a junior in High School, and it is going to be hard to leave it behind for 18 months! I only get to bring 8 skirts, 8 shirts, 3 cardigans, two pairs of shoes, one set of rain boots, a raincoat, and a winter coat to last me for 18 months, so I know there will be days when all I will want is a new pair of J.Crew flats. The good things is J.Crew does not change and will still provide me with the preppy attire I so desire, 18 months from now!

Scott is in the South Africa, Johannesburg mission and Trevor is in the Philippines, San Pablo mission. They make me proud each and every day! I am REALLY going to be jealous when Kati, Kari, and Meredith write me and tell me that they are hanging out.

So my roommate and best friend is serving her mission in Brazil and she gets home late July of 2012... so just like Kati, it will be 26 months till I see her too. It was hard enough to imagine 18 months without my Irma and now it will be 26 till I hear a Hannah Davis laugh! To be honest when I read my call and came across my MTC entrance date, I automatically calculated how many months it would be until I saw her. I had  envisioned her coming home...and the whole continental United States would hear our reunion. I also envisoned us having endless nights in our lounge wear, catching up on a year in a half of gossip girl and chicks flicks as well as chat about our favortie subject... boys, boys,boys. I thought I'd be pillow talking by July of 2012! Well Hanns, you know what we are doing when I get home.

 My Best Friend is currently serving her mission in Paraguay and I thought it was going to be impossible to go 18 months without seeing her.. haha little did I know that it will 26 MONTHS until sweet reunion time.  I had envisioned  me begging her parents to let me go the airport when she got off the plane at John Wayne in mid-august of 2012, and running to her when she got off the escalator, and  publicly embarrassing myself as I would cry sweet reunion tears. Well now I am just going to beg her to come to the airport in March of 2013 so that I can run off the escalator and publicly embarrass myself as I cry sweet reunion tears... either  way I am doomed to publicy embarrass myself.
