I've Chosen My 'M'

So pretty much the only reason that I blog is because A). I have to go for my communications class... stupid filler credits I am taking. B). Its for me. So for those two reasons I post this...

This song has been on repeat for about 4 months now and it defines my life! I know very little about life and the things around me and it doesn't matter how many degrees I get, books I publish, or what my GPA says because the one thing I do know is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is TRUE and it brings me more happiness and purpose then anything else in this life... and for that reason... I have decided to serve a mission. This decision  has taken me 4 1/2 months to make and  lead to  many nights on my knees, tears, and worrying about the future, but once I received my answer that was SO clear and SO undeniable, I knew that no matter what else was going on in my life, I needed, and in my heart wanted to drop everything to serve the Lord for the next 18 months of my life. If you would have told me a year ago that I would serve a mission and would actually choose to put my life on hold including relationships and graduation, I would have laughed at you, BUT that just goes to show that when the Lord calls, there is no choice but to answer.  So my papers should be submitted this weekend and a call addressed to a "Sister Aubrey Ann Brennan" should be in my mailbox in about 2 1/2 3 weeks. For the record I have NEVER been happier in my entire life! 

I guess all there is left to say is... 

"So trusting my all to thy tender care and knowing thou lovest me, I'll do thy will with a heart sincere, I'll be what you want me to be. I'll Go where You where you want me to go dear Lord over mountain or plain or sea, I'll say what you want me to say dear Lord, I'll be you want me to be." 

I CANNOT WAIT TO WEAR THE NAME -TAG! 

Decision MADE!

I made my DECISION, DECISION made!

  

I have NEVER been happier in my entire existence... for the record, God hears and answers prayers... it might take awhile, but he answers them!

I feel good. I feel great. I feel wonder.

Do you ever just have one of those days when you wake up with a smile, the sun is shining outside and you are unexplainable and ridiculously happy? Well that was today. There was nothing especially special about today other then I had an overwhelming love for life and all those who make my life. I have a great life, everyday, but today I just noticed those who enhance my life a bit more then usual. Thank you for making my life....you know who you are.

I Die For A Man In Sperry's

So for my communications class I had to post on my blog something about the world around me. The choices were fashion, TV, or movies. I decided to get specific and post about my feelings on Men's fashion. So I am NO fashionista. I am not very adventurous when it comes to my own style in clothes, but I am very very opinionated about Men's fashion. A boy who dresses well can get ANY Girl. I, myself think fashionable boys are attractive but I prefer my men to be simple and laid back, BUT here are my own personal favs on an XY Chromosome and I am going to start from the bottom and work myself up.

I believe every man should have four different types of shoes.

Athletic inspired sneaker

They are boys after all but you have to retire the vans that you've been wearing since 6th grade and update to a new, modern and more mature look and that this what these two shoes do. 

Then you know a boy has become a man when he wears a nice driving moc. These are perfect for a casual day at the office, a date, or just a day when you feel like dressing a little bit nice, minus the suit and tie. 

Then the staple in every boys wardrobe... a nice dress shoe. This is a MUST!!! 

Socks

It might sound stupid, but if you are wearing a nice dress shoe and then you sit down and flash your white gym socks, you might as well of wore your vans with your suit.

I personally love when boys show a little argyle but if that's not your thing ALWAYS wear dress socks with your dress shoes. Don't be caught wearing deacon socks!

 Jeans

First things first, girls do not like when guys wear their jeans, so NO girl pants. That's just SO gross! But just because we don't like them tight doesn't mean we like them falling off you, so the happy medium between skin tight, and gangster status is fitted. Girls like to see fitted things on guy. Everyone has their own preferences about jean washes, but I personally prefer dark washes, but that is up to you, but the big ostentatious stitching on the rump is SOO out so keep it simple and staying on your waist.

Pants

  A real man mixes it up, which means he is not always in his jeans. Embrace other forms of below the waist attire, you will be pleasantly surprised by how much you will love other colors and textures.

Every guy should own a nice pair of fitted cords. They go with SO many things and make your bottom half really pop... in a good way. 

 

Every guy needs a nice trouser pant

 also a casual khaki never hurts either

Watches
Watches are IN and boy oh boy do they look good on a guy. Boys don't leave the house without a watch and since you can find them for pretty cheap, you'll want to have a few different ones to go with different looks and occasions.

Shirts

 These are nice shirts that look good with jeans or khakis

 

If you are into the casual side of things... 

 

Every guy should own at least a few cardigans... they are sensational on XY Chromosomes

 

Don't get too wrapped up in the cardigans that you forget to get a nice, fitted v-neck sweater

Okay for the record there is absoultley nothing more attractive then a guy in a nice, fitted suit! Don't be afraid to dress up boys.

Ties

Okay these are very important. Ties are not always formal things that choke someone by the neck. They are like a womans neckalce

This is a little on the formal side and the clip never hurts :)

 

This is on the casual side and very fun to mix and match with different shirts
